  1. 1. Low Ticket Prices, Foreign Players in the U.S., To attract more players to a minor league game.

    2. A lack of foresight in marketing ventures.
An example would be no one could have foreseen that Tiger Woods was going to cheat on his wife with forty different women. another example would be the parity between teams. The dominant teams have more fans, while the lesser teams fans don't come to the games. Being short sighted on making a profit gain is a major fault. Because in the long run this could seriously hurt your group.

    3. Ethnicity, Age group targeting, and performance.

    4. Orange Krush, MLB, BCS series for NCAA football, MLB Players association

5.Competitiveness is a huge thing. The more competitive the competition the more people will want to attend. Super Stars. The more of these we have, the bigger drawing power the marketers have. A memorable experience. If the fans have a good experience, that can be used to draw more people back to your event.

    6. FIFA- Soccer is becoming more of a drawing power world wide. It is already the world's game, and now it has started to become more a draw in the U.S. Once the United States becomes involved, soccer will start to take off. As shown by the World Cup, the World is truly in love with soccer. MLB- This used to be America's game. But now football has taken over that role. While MLB still has a dedicated following, they are starting to lose fans gradually. Over time the sport has become more internationally based, and less of Americas game. Football is truly our sport now, while baseball has somewhat drifted away from that.

  2. 1. International Competition, Recession, and Failing minor league and high school teams

    2. Lack of market research, Poor sales techniques, confusion between marketing and promotions

    3. A big deal in basketball is promotion. The NBA has always been very good at promotions. They used to appeal to the "street youth" with Allen Iverson, but now they are using LeBron James to appeal to everyone.

    4. Red Sox Nation, NCAA, Big Ten Conference, NFL Player's Association

5.Recreation, Skill, and the "Wow" factor

    6. A organization on the rise is the NHL. The NHL has become a "big 4" sport again and is routinely on ESPN highlights. The have been helped by both the invisible hand nad the visible hand in a big market team (Blackhawks) winning the Stanley Cup and young good players.
The Decline organization is the PGA. They have lost tons of viewers and are hardly a topic of interest anymore. This is defenitley due to a visible hand in the form of Tiger Wood's decline.

  3. 1…The first reason is national pride, as a nation we love to follow sports and through sports we come together. The second reason is the economy, the sports industry is a HUUUGGEEE Industry in the economic world. And Lastly Sports can also be used for philanthropic activities.

2…Short sighted and inward looking approach to marketing that focuses on the needs of the firm instead of defining the firm and its products in terms of the customers' needs and wants. Getting rid of tiger in adds was a need for the firm. Gaining people like Tebow was a gain for the firm. And benching players like Big Ben was a need for the firm.

    3…different products, Places and weather.

4…NBA, Yankees, PGA, and NHL players association

5… Skill, the luster of the game, and the pride of the fans

6… I personally believe the NBA is on the rise. With the forming of teams like the Lakers, Heat, Knicks, and Bulls it will have all eyes on the NBA. Swimming is one on the Decline because the national pride, Michael Phelps, is no longer the great he once was. The rise is contributed to the visible hand of trades, and it is shown by the number of ticket sales and jersey sales. The decline is an invisible hand of Phelps loosing skill.
